Above Board Skatepark is a 10,000 sq. foot warehouse skate park off of Randleman Rd. in Greensboro, NC. All participants are required to have a waiver on file. Those under 18 are required to wear a helmet and must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver for them. Above Board offers sessions, lessons, memberships, and a full-service shop and store as well

Above Board Skate Park Cost

Skate, Inline, Quad:

$8 for one session
$12 for two sessions
$6 for the last hour of a session

BMX, Scooter:

$10 for one session
$14 for two sessions

Above Board Skate Park Summer Camps

Above Board Camp is a weekly summer camp for kids 7-17 years of age. The camp will include daily instruction, structured camp activities, and time for free skate. Summer camp goes for ten weeks. Due to high demand, spots are limited. Camp is $150 per week per child, but there is a discount of $300 if you sign up for all 10 weeks.

Drop off is anytime after 9:00 am and pick up is anytime before 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Normal business hours on weekdays during the summer are from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, which means those who are attending summer camp will have even longer to skate and will have the park to themselves for several hours to practice and learn with our experienced instructors. Summer camp does NOT include weekends, but we do offer weekend, monthly, summer, and yearly memberships. Those under 18 are required to wear a helmet and ALL participants must have a waiver on file, signed by a parent if they are under 18 years of age.

Above Board Skate Park Lessons

Skate lessons are currently available on Mondays and Wednesdays between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Lessons are $40, include an hour of instruction, all-day admission, a free bottle of water, and rental equipment if needed. Helmets are required for those under 16. They do require that helmets and skateboards are safe to use on ramps, so even if you bring your own you may be given rental equipment to use if your equipment is not safe to use in our facility (ie. no standard bike helmets, plastic wheels or trucks, or thick composite material decks). In order to reserve your spot, lessons must be paid for in full. You will be sent an invoice to your email after we schedule. Due to limited availability, please pay the invoice promptly to ensure your spot is not taken. ($20 is non-refundable in the event of rescheduling or cancellation.)

Above Board Skate Park Memberships

While they do not require a membership to use the facility, they do offer them to those who would like to save if they plan to come often. Membership includes FREE skate during all business hours and 10% off all shop purchases (not including concessions). Weekend, weekly, monthly, 3-month, summer (June-August), semester (August-December OR January-May), 6-month, school year (September-May) and yearly memberships are available. They also offer a yearly membership option that allows the member to pay only $5 all day every day when they come. Pricing is based on hours of operation during the school year and summer since they are open longer during the summer.
