Salem Lake offers miles of paved and unpaved trails, a playground, restrooms, a fishing pier, and boat rentals to keep the whole family entertained and close to nature.

The lake offers pier and boat fishing for:

Anyone 16 or older must have a North Carolina State Fishing License to fish at Salem Lake or Winston Lake.

Salem Lake Operating Hours

  • Monday – Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday – 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • All Water-related activities including pier fishing, paddling, and boat fishing end at 6:45 p.m.

Salem Lake Marina Bait Shop Hours:

  • Monday – Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday – 7:00 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Gate locks nightly at 7:30 p.m.
