About Allen Jay Park Playground
Allen Jay Park is a High Point city park with a playground, picnic shelter, restrooms, three baseball/softball fields, a gymnasium, and walking trails. This huge park in High Point is a perfect weekday or weekend retreat for families with active lifestyles. It features a fantastic playground with new mulch, areas for parents to sit and watch, and tons of features kids will love.
Allen Jay Park Playground Features
The playground has the following features:
- Two different climbing structures. (One more of a wall and the other for climbing beginners)
- Wooden mulch surface to avoid hard falls
- A twisting slide and a straight slide to provide nice adrenaline-inducing rides
- A rope ladder, metal climbing post, and metal pole slide
- Multiple swings with a bucket and traditional swings to suit all ages
- Monkey bars with a short distance
- Stairs and bridges with rails to keep young kids safe
Allen Jay Park also features lighted tennis courts, lighted basketball courts, is ADA Accessible, the community center is open for events, weddings, and parties, and High Point Parks and Recreation has partnered with Go Far to provide one mile and 5K walk/run route around the recreation center. You will see a sign at the facility outlining the routes, stretches, and healthy eating tips.
