About The Playground Area
Davie County Community Park is a Davie County park with 2 playgrounds, picnic shelters, restrooms, water fountains, ball fields, greenways, amphitheater, dog park, indoor recreation center, and sprayground. This huge park is unique because it was built and dreamed up by a master planning committee to re-envision the old high school’s land, amenities, and current structures. The playgrounds have the following features:
Inclusive Playground #1
- A two-story structure with unique sails to keep the harsh sun away
- Recycled rubber floor that makes it easy to grip and keep shoes clean
- Multiple covered awnings and roofs to keep cool and shield from rain
- Slides galore. (Small, medium, racing, and large slides for all ages and abilities)
- Multiple climbing net structures with platforms to climb and see everything
- A platform swing that holds multiple children
- Merry-go-round that holds up to 6 kids
- Fun musical features, verbal and non-verbal features, and inclusive up to the highest level of play
- A huge boat that can be rocked back and forth and hold up to 10 children
Ninja Playground #2 aka Elevate Fitness Course
- Take on ELEVATE fitness course that brings together a series of challenging physical obstacles that kids or teams can try
- 3 levels of challenge and multiple options within each level
- Good for beginners, intermediate, and advanced fitness users to gain results and have fun
- Cling to walls
- Jump the lava
- Sprint racing sections
- Monkey Bars
- Ropes course

Davie County Community Park also features numerous walking trails, public restrooms, picnic shelters, parking areas, sprayground, and ball fields. Despite being close to downtown and off many major roads, you feel like you are in an athletic complex and park that is meant for a huge city or training hub. Whether you are planning a family get-together, birthday party, or just a fun retreat, Davie County Community Park playground is an excellent choice.
Picnic Shelters
There are two shelters located in the park. These shelters are accessible, have electricity, and are set on a concrete slab with picnic tables. Our shelters are first-come, first-serve basis when not rented. One of these shelters is located conveniently in between the two playgrounds.
Medium Shelter
This shelter is located between the Amphitheater and the Meadow. Perfect for gatherings of 25-30 (5 Picnic Tables).
Large Shelter
This shelter is located between the Inclusive Playground and Elevate Fitness Course. Perfect for groups of 50 (6 Picnic Tables).
