About Arboretum Lindley Park Playground

The arboretum has amazing flower and tree-lined paths with an amazing playground that has fun elements for kids of all ages to enjoy. This playground is one of the playgrounds dedicated to Declan Donoghue and the Declans Foundation. It is adjacent to the Greensboro Arboretum botanical garden.

This park has 107 acres, two playgrounds, fields, and a large wooded area. The playground includes plenty of inclusive playground equipment such as zero-gravity swings, a sensory climbing dome, and a merry-go-all to provide play opportunities for kids of all abilities. Under the playground is an open-grid tile path that is designed to make it easier for wheelchairs and strollers to get into the play area and access the features.

  • A rock-climbing surface
  • A curved-climbing ladder
  • Safe steps and hand-rails for smaller kids
  • Wrap-around fence
  • Multiple slides
  • Multiple bucket swings for smaller kids and regular swings for independent swingers
  • Fun tunnels and bridges
  • Umbrella shades to provide some shelter from the sun
