Blum/Dinah D. Blanding Park Playground

This is a fun urban park in Winston Salem that sits off of 25th Street in between downtown and HIghway 52. This park is special because it features not only two picnic shelters, a ball field, and nature trails but also a fun playground with natural features like an eagle's nest and cattails to showcase the local area.

About Blum/Dinah D. Blanding Park Playground

Blum/Dinah D. Blanding Park is small in size but large in amenities. That is equally true for its impressive and newly-updated playground. The playground is inspired by the local area with its nearby water features. You will first notice the huge green cattails with ropes allowing kids to climb in between and on top of. The playground also resembles an eagle’s eyrie with a huge slide, walkway, eagles, and nest structure to climb over and under.

The playground has the following features:

  • One large slide that is smooth and carved from faux rock
  • A large spinning slide that is perfect for speed
  • Composite wood handrails, stairs, and walkways
  • A rope and wooden plank bridge to brave heights
  • Rope ladders
  • Rock caves underneath to climb in and out of
  • 4 unique swings and 2 bucket swings
  • Three large cattail towers that are connected by steps and ropes
