About Country Park

Country Park in Greensboro is home to the Guilford County Veteran’s Memorial, a BarkPark (off-leash dog park), sno-balls snow cone shop, and a BMX bike course along with picnic shelters, playgrounds, and trails. The park sits adjacent to the Greensboro Science Center and even occupies land that was once a battleground which makes it perfect for history hounds. Opened in 1934, Country Park is recognized as a National Historical Landmark. Country Park’s history dates back as part of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse site during the Revolutionary War. Country Park has many special features that allow persons of all abilities to participate in year-round recreational activities.
