Granville Park Playground

Granville Park is located along Granville Road, a short few hundred yards from both Peters Creek Parkway and Washington Avenue near downtown Winston-Salem. The park's playground includes a mist tower, a three-story playground structure with multiple slides, and a rubberized flooring to keep shoes clean.

About The Playground Area

Granville Park is a Winston-Salem city park with playground, picnic shelter, restrooms, four lighted tennis courts, and gazebo. This small park in West Salem is quite the hidden gem. It features a fantastic new playground modeled after a castle, along with walking trails, picnic tables, and a kid-friendly water-mister. The playground has the following features:

  • A three-story playground structure that is topped off with a crow’s nest feature for daredevils to explore and look down from great heights
  • Recycled rubber pieces to replace typical mulch and make for clean feet and shoes
  • Multiple covered awnings and roofs to keep cool and shield from rain
  • Two slides (One three-story slide and one smaller slide)
  • Very cool bridge to walk from one end of the structure to the other
  • Both ladders and stairs depending on the size of the child and their climbing skill level
  • Rock climbing wall and pedaling feature to explore and get some exercise

 

Granville Park also features numerous walking trails, public restrooms, picnic shelters, parking areas, tennis courts, and gazebo. Despite being close to downtown and off many major roads, you feel like you are in a quiet wooded area that is perfect for an outdoor kid-friendly excursion.
