Hanes Park Playground

Hanes Park Playground is a beautiful playground in the West End of Winston-Salem, NC near downtown. Features two playground structures (one for older children and another for smaller children) plus many swing sets.

About Hanes Park Playground

Designed by Miracle Recreation, this playground has a very large, three-story play structure with several slides and climbing elements. This structure relies on access to the third level only by ladder and can be difficult for younger climbers to master. Adults may need to assist in some cases. There is also a small toddler play structure as well as two, cute rocking toys. There were two infant swings and four regular swings.

Surrounding the playground are several benches and a few picnic tables in the shade. The playground structure itself is in the sun with no shade yet if visiting shortly after a rain or in the morning, the structure can become slippery.

The playground is not accessible by wheelchair as the whole base is made with wood chips. The restroom is a short walk away across the bridge (right next to the track).
