Piney Grove Park can be first noticed when you spot Piney Grove Baptists Church and the Brown & Douglas Neighborhood Center off Indiana Avenue in Winston-Salem. This park serves the neighborhoods of North Winston Salem near North Point Blvd. and Cherry Street. The park has something for everyone from baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas, a neighborhood center, and of course two new and unique playgrounds and play areas.

The playground at Piney Grove Park has the following features:
  • A large playground structure with a turret and 3 slides
  • Two rock-climbing walls
  • A merry-go-round sphere
  • Two spinning elements that will spin you for ages
  • Stairs and handrails to climb high up

  • Tall tree-shaped structures with leaf footholds that you can climb
  • A tall tree structure with two slings to gain serious air

The playground is not accessible by wheelchair as the whole base is made with wood chips. The restroom is a short walk away up the walking trail and near the picnic shelter at the community center
