Tanglewood Park Pool Rules & Regulations

Aquatic Center Rules

  • Meals are restricted to the shelters and exterior picnic tables. Only snack foods are permitted inside the Aquatic Center. Please limit consumption of snacks and drinks to the concessions area, when possible, and dispose of all waste in proper receptacles.
  • No running, boisterous/rough play, or inappropriate behavior.
  • No diving allowed in areas of the pools less than 5 feet deep or in pools not approved for diving.
  • Children under 12 should not use the pool areas without adult supervision.
  • Adults should not swim alone.
  • Children 3 and under must be with an adult at all times in the water or on the Splash Pad Playground.
  • Infants and toddlers must wear appropriate swim diapers in pool areas.
  • Please shower before entering the Aquatic Center pool areas and Splash Pad Playground.
  • Only US Coast Guard-approved life jackets (including puddle jumpers) are permitted in the Aquatic Center pool areas and Splash Pad Playground. No detachable personal flotation devices of any kind allowed on the slides or diving boards. No inflatables permitted at all.
  • No alcohol allowed in the Aquatic Center.
  • No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs should use the Aquatic Center.
  • No person with skin, eye, ear, or nasal infections allowed in the Aquatic Center.
  • No person with communicable diseases allowed in the Aquatic Center.
  • No animals or pets allowed in the Aquatic Center.
  • No glass allowed in the Aquatic Center or on the deck.
  • Owners and management are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or missing items.
  • No vision glasses or glasses of any kind are allowed on the slides.
  • Swimsuits are required for entry into pool areas and Splash Pad Playground and are subject to management approval.
  • Management reserves the right to deny the use of the Aquatic Center to anyone at any time.
  • The maximum number of swimmers allowed in the Aquatic Center is 1,100.
  • The Aquatic Center is for public use.
  • Please see a lifeguard for first aid needs.
  • Emergency telephone is located right outside the lifeguard’s first aid room.
  • All rules posted throughout the complex apply to the entire Aquatic Center.

Inclement Weather Policies

Thunder/Lightning
When thunder is heard all bodies of water will be cleared and closed for thirty (30) minutes from the last time thunder was heard. Each time thunder is heard the thirty (30) minute timer resets. If lightning is spotted, staff will clear the pool deck of all patrons and seek shelter for safety. The pool deck will be closed for thirty (30) minutes from the last time a lightning strike was observed.

Rain Pass Policy
Rain passes will not be distributed for any closures after 4:00 PM, regardless of the time of entry. For any closures prior to 4:00 PM, due to inclement weather, rain passes will be distributed to patrons when the Aquatic Center is closed longer than 30 minutes. To receive a Rain Pass, patrons must remove their entry wristband and present it to front desk staff. Rain Passes are only valid for the current year’s operating season.

Prohibited Items

  • Outside chairs, umbrellas, or other miscellaneous deck furniture
  • Coolers larger than 28 quarts (approximately 20″ x 14″ x 12″ in size)
  • Outside Food/Meals including but not limited to: fast food, cake, pizza, watermelons, etc.
  • Inflatables or other Unauthorized Swimming Aids
  • Alcoholic Beverages and Glass Containers
